VCS has a growing cervical histopathology
service which has two major benefits:
For the laboratory, it means that we have more follow-up histology
available, which assists with the conduct of our internal quality
assurance program.
For the clinician, because we report about 50% of all Pap
smears, there is a very good chance that we will have the referral
smear available for review at the time we report the biopsy.
