Professor Sanchia Aranda has worked in cancer control for the past 40 years. She is a registered nurse who has worked across the spectrum from prevention to treatment and palliative care in roles across practice, research, health service administration and policy. Her international work includes being the inaugural board chair for the City Cancer Challenge Foundation and she is a past President of both the Union for International Cancer Control and the International Society of Nurses in Cancer Care. She is the immediate past Chief Executive Officer of Cancer Council Australia and holds an academic appointment at the University of Melbourne. Sanchia’s passion is to address inequity in cancer outcomes, both internationally and in the Australian context. Sanchia is an Executive Producer of Conquering Cancer.
